Kick Buttowski pattern

Materials

Red heart Super saver yarn in white, Brt. Yellow, light coral, red
Stuffing
F hook
G hook
2 Safety eyes (I used 15mm)
Yellow pipe cleaner
 Small amount of white, red and black felt
Small amount of black embroidery thread
Felting needle
Black fine tip sharpie

Tips:  do not join rounds.  I do not chain one at the end of my rows this gives a cleaner more finished look.

Body

With G hook and white
Rnd 1:  Sc 7 in magic ring (7)
Rnd 2:  2 Sc in each Sc around (14)
Rnd 3:  *Sc in next Sc , 2 Sc in next Sc* around (21)
Rnd 4:  *Sc in next 2 Sc, 2 Sc in next Sc* around (28)
Rnd 5:  *Sc in next 3 Sc, 2 Sc in next Sc* around (35)
Rnd 6:  *Sc in next 4 Sc, 2 Sc in next Sc* around (42)
Rnd 7:  *Sc in next 5 Sc, 2 Sc in next Sc* around (49)

At this point you need to turn the boot inside out this will give the seam a cleaner finish.
Rnd 15: Line up the edges of heel flap with opposite side of work  (it will resemble a shoe shape.) sl St. the matching stiches together
Turn Boot right side out.
Rnd 16:  Sc 15 stitches evenly around (15)
Rnd 17-21: Sc in each Sc around (15)
Rnd 22: working in front loops only Sc in each Sc around (15)
Fasten off
(start leg)
Rnd 1: join white to free loop of rnd 21 of boot,  Sc in next loop around, Sc in same loop as you joined in.  (15)
Rnd 2-8 Sc in each Sc around (15)
Fasten off
Stuff leg and boot.
Arm (make 2)
Rnd 1: Sc 6 in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: 2 Sc in each Sc around (12)
Rnd 3-10 Sc in each Sc around (12)
Fasten off
Place safety eye between Rnd 2 and 3  stuff.

Hand

Rnd 1: Ch 15, sl st in first chain. Sc in each ch (15)
Rnd 2: Sc in each Sc around (15)

Rnd 4-5:  Sc in each Sc around (12)
Switch to f hook

Join yarn to bottom of first finger

Cut pipe cleaner to double the length of the thumb fold in half and place inside thumb.
Rnd: 6 sl st across
Fasten off
Cut pipe cleaner to double length of fingers, fold in half and place inside fingers.  Stuff. Sew hand to arm.

Place hemet on head and sew in place make sure rounds are lined up equally.

Back collar

Row 1 : ch 14, Sc in each chain across, turn (14)
Row 2:  2 Sc in next Sc, Sc in next 12 Sc, 2 Sc in last Sc, turn (16)
Row 3: Sc in each Sc across, turn (16)
Row 4: 2 Sc in next Sc, Sc in next 14 Sc, 2 Sc in last Sc, turn (18)
Row 5: repeat row 3 (18)

Row 3: 2 sc in next Sc, Sc in next 6 Sc, leave last Sc unworked, turn (8)
Row 4: Sc in next 7 sc, 2 Sc in last Sc, (9)
Fasten off

Left collar

Repeat white collar joining in top left corner do not fasten on after row 4
Row 5: turn Sl st down each row and across bottom and back up each row of right collar
Fasten off.

Assembly

Fasten arms to body with safety eyes around Rnd 28.
Sew head to body
Sew front collar on
Sew back collar on
Sew legs to body more towards the rear
Cut felt for eyes, using Sharpie outline around the eye leaving a small portion of white at the bottom. 
Using the felting needle attach eyes in position that you like.
Embroider mouth
Cut strips of felt for  arm stripe, use felting needle to attatch.
(if you do not have a Felting needle  you can also sew or hot glue felt pieces into place.)

  1. I must have this pattern! My son is totally addicted to this show, and he would so love a Kick to throw around the playroom doing his own stunts!
